Together with the artistic team of this edition of Things I Miss, we are developing a new artistic project, which will take its first form as a work-in-progress presentation at the upcoming fashion week. The project explores instinct – as a primal force that guides us – and the cyclical nature of life: budding, blooming, fading, and ripening once again. We journey through the material of the instinctive, the bodily, and the natural. At the heart of the exploration is the coexistence of the body with sound, movement, space, feelings, pulse, breath, rhythm, frequencies, and colors. This edition delves into the color landscape of instinct and bloom, into light and organic textures – especially those created from recycled materials, intertwined with the form of the body. We look into the microcosm, into the details of matter and the narratives these textures carry. The project connects the instinctiveness of the artistic process with the instinctiveness of all the tools that form the story – from materials to movements, sensations, and the construction of meaning. We seek a conscious vision of a second skin, of the body, and of being – here and now. Staying true to the concept of Things I Miss, we remain in the realm of the raw and the primal, but this time, we journey even deeper: into the organic, into awareness, into the connection between being, existence, and coexistence.
