An audiovisual flow across a multitude of textures within a hand-carved object as a sensory moment in space offers the viewer the possibility of exploring the image in a different way…

The audiovisual installation Onda (Wave) is a perceptive artistic story created by interdisciplinary conceptual artist Tina Princ and academic painter, photographer and filmmaker Gregor Bajt. They have united their visions, concepts and artistic strength in an honest expression and in the poetry of storytelling. Onda is a film that, in fragmented form, reflects and merges with textures. It is an audiovisual flow across a multitude of textures within a hand-carved object in space. This unique narrative creates a three-dimensional being that can be embraced from all sides. It is a sculpture made of two sculptures (film and textured object). The whole functions in monochromatic tones of grey, natural hues, and white, with a red insert. The elements of the installation are raw gauze, film, space, fragmentation, tenderness, a red vein, bliss, monumentality (impactfulness), and light. Onda is a metaphor for coming and going, for cycles. Onda is one great emotion, the transience of power (washing away what is no longer needed), a threat and at the same time a blessing. In this new artwork, the artists meet through a distinctive form, proportions, depth, sensibility, and narrativity. The work intertwines Gregor’s film Luci di Venezia and Tina’s Things I Miss concept of “sensory moments in space.”
